Clinical Exercise Physiology

Studying Clinical Exercise Physiology at UQ offers excellent preparation for an exciting career as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP). AEP’s play an important role in the prevention and treatment of a range of medical conditions (e.g. cardio respiratory, metabolic, musculoskeletal and neurological disorders); by using exercise as a form of medicine.

At UQ, you'll study one of Australia's leading Clinical Exercise Physiology programs; and the only undergraduate clinical exercise physiology program where you will graduate with an ‘Honours’ qualification

You will gain over 500 hours of practical training within high-quality, external industry placements and in our modern, well-equipped human performance laboratories . You will also work with real clients who have specific clinical conditions in each of our five on-campus, specialised exercise clinics.

As a Clinical Exercise Physiology graduate you will be prepared to work in private practices, hospitals, health and rehabilitation clinics, or research centres.

You will be eligible for membership with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA), as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) and an Accredited Exercise Scientist (AES).
