The Faculties of Health and Behavioural Sciences and Medicine have a long and distinguished tradition of education and research in health, behavioural and medical sciences. We proudly acknowledge that UQ’s provision of high quality education and research in these fields would not be possible without the assistance of a large number of hospital and clinic-based health professionals. These health professionals come from a variety of different disciplines and backgrounds, ranging from medicine through to dietetics, psychology, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and other allied health areas.
No matter where they come from, all are vital in training the next generation of health professionals and facilitating the clinical learning and research experiences fundamental to the development of clinical expertise. To recognise the work of these hardworking health professionals, the University awards academic titles to suitably qualified individuals.
New and existing applications for academic titles are welcomed. These titles are assessed by the relevant school leaders and committees and awarded on a three year basis to professionals who make significant contributions to the University.
