The Faculties of Medicine, and Health and Behavioural Sciences have a long and distinguished tradition of education and research in health, behavioural and medical sciences. The Faculties proudly acknowledge that UQ’s provision of high quality education and research in these fields would not be possible without the work of many externally-funded health professionals.  These health professionals may be registrars in teaching hospitals, eminent specialists in private practice, or experienced general practitioners who play a vital role in primary care.

No matter where they come from, all are vital in training the next generation of doctors and health professionals. To recognise the work of these hardworking health professionals, the Faculties award individuals with academic titles.

New and existing applications for Academic Titles are welcomed. These titles are assessed by the relevant school leaders and committees and awarded on a three year basis to professionals who make significant contributions to The University.

To apply for an Academic Title, click on the “apply now” button. Please note that you should complete all sections of the online application form and attach an up-to-date CV.
